Almost Thanksgiving? Already?

Wed Nov 18, 2009, 10:17 PM
But I don't have a job yet! Well, besides my paper route. And my portfolio is garbage! Well, until I make more stuff to improve it. Which will happen when? Well... let me check my empty schedule that seems to eat up all my time somehow.

Yeah, I've made a few logos in the past few months, which is something. It's just... hard to work on pieces of art while I"m so focused on stories and stories and stories. Not even writing... Just coming up with stories, and developing them. There are just so many things for me to work on... What aspect of art? How should I record these stories of mine?

Really, if I'm supposed to get a job/career doing what I love, it feels rather overwhelming thinking that I better darn well like it forever. And will doing one thing for a living lock me out of doing anything else? I know the answer to that is "no," but... I don't know. How many shots do we get?

I'd just get any old job if I could. I'm thinking I'm either too non-social or too over/underqualified for anything.

Ugh. I'm sick and tired of feeling so emo! I need a little direction. A life compass, perhaps. Though even that is pretty useless without a life map, right? The two kind of go hand in hand.

Dear David,

Thank you kindly for favoriting my terrible art. You are a kind man and deserve your own buffet franchise. I'd go for David's Delicious Buffet.

That is my opinion.

Your Friend,

Bramble

I cannot conceive that such a man as yourself would deem it appropriate to call his art terrible. At least in my areas of media exposure, steampunk is a genre not explored enough, and actually making it an alternate Earth history like you have is something I find very interesting.

I have been trying to think of ways to make money now that I have graduated. I have not yet considered opening a self-titled buffet, but this is an appetizing option. I'm glad it is appetizing to you as well.

Your friend,

Jim

I woke up today with the Full Metal Alchemist intro stuck in my head. I have not heard this song in about two years. I am blaming this solely on you and your telepathic powers.
